Grade „PLUS” (grade A)

A Side: clear, without  knots (the allowed knot is to 5mm) without any defects (without changing of the color, without wood decay, without sapwood, without  mechanical damages, cracks, pavements)

Board, width 28 and 30mm: the damages are allowed in the middle of the board, if from one side till another there are 130mm to the bark. In that case, the reduction will be done, which will cover this damage.

Board, width 50+mm: the damages are allowed in the middle of the board, if from one side till another there are 150mm to the bark. In that case, the reduction will be done, which will cover this damage.

В Side: the same requirements as for the side A, but  one knot to 20mm for 1 linear meter is allowed.

The width 150 + mm (in general, the width  200mm)

The length 2300 + mm

The sapwood Max.10-15%  of the width from each side of the board.

The curvature: to 10mm for 1 linear meter

The core: The core is allowed, in case if there wasn’t any reduction.

Grade „STANDART” (grade АВ)

Side A: Knots to 20mm, allow also 3 knots to 30mm, or 2 knots to 40mm, or 1 knot to 50 mm without reduction. If there is the core – the reduction is done. (In the width 40-50mm – the reduction is 15 sm, in the width 30 mm – the reduction is 13 cm)

Allowed: propping out knots to 20mm.  If one side is clear, there could be alive knots on the other side.

Not allowed:

changing of the color,  wood decay,  sapwood,   mechanical damages, cracks, pavements

Grade„RUSTIC“ (grade В)

The length: 2m+ do 3,5m

The width: from bark to bark 15+cm

A/B Sides: Knots to 80mm, tobacco knots are allowed to 80mm. (dead knots)

Not allowed: wood decay,  sapwood,   mechanical damages, cracks, pavements

The sapwood Max.10-15%  of the width from each side of the board.

The curvature: the form of the banana

The width: 150 + mm (in general. The width is from 200mm)

Grade 4

The length 1,5 m+ do 3,5m

The width  from bark to bark 12cm+. Allowed are collateral knots and knots „hare’s ears”

Sides A/B: knots do 120mm, tobacco knots to 80mm are allowed (dead knots,  propping out ones), Also are allowed holes and cracks from the knots to 60mm.

Not allowed: changing of the color,  wood decay,  sapwood,   mechanical damages, cracks, pavements

The curvature: is not regulated

The width 150 + mm (in general, the width is from  200mm)

Each board is marked with: grade ( P – Plus, S – Standard, R – Rustic), the width in mm., and with reduction if it is.

If the reduction is done, the middle of the board is marked with 1 line. 1 line – 1 cm. 2 lines with x-mark– from 2 to 5 cm.
